Come one, come all, players, Dreamweavers and actors who love Shakespeare or the challenge of wonderful theatre. The time has arrived to find out more about the Bay Theatre Players middle production for this years' season, ' Macbeth', a tragedy by William Shakespeare.
'Macbeth' is one of his shortest and most famous plays and the team that brought 'A Midsummer Night's Dream' to the Playhouse stage is gathering once again.
Artistic Director Sam Lloyd is inviting you all to come along to the information session to be held in the foyer of the Bay Playhouse in Gregory Street at 2:00pm on Saturday 16 March.
Here you will learn about the vision for the production, meet the directing team, and find out about the opportunities for you to become involved through acting, backstage, stage management, production, set building, costume making, publicity, green room assistants and front of house roles.
If you would like to become a part of this wonderful community theatre don't be shy, we don't bite. Pop along, say hello, have a cup of tea and find out more.
This is very much an adult play owing to the content of the production and very much an ensemble piece with numerous roles for actors aged 15 years and above, and just as in 'The Dream' ensemble casting will be non gender specific.
Audition opportunities will take place on Saturday 23 March at the Uniting Church Hall on the corner of Catlin Avenue and Beach Road (diagonally opposite the Catalina Country Club). There will be two sessions held, beginning at 10:00am and 1:30pm respectively.
So come along to the information session and find out how you can get involved, arrange your audition session, or put your hand up to help. For any further information contact Sam direct via email firstname.lastname@example.org or 0410525705 and leave a message.
